A brand Identity re-fresh for the much-loved and patronised community swimming pool in Yamba, on the North Coast of NSW. The brandmark was developed from the letter Y (Yamba) formed by droplets of water and brought to life with fresh splashes of colour. The support colour palette needed to communicate the warmth of the heated pool - particularly important in the cooler winter season, to appeal and encourage continued use. The concept behind photography was to to capture the genuine sense of 'community' by depicting the individuals from the varied pool user groups.
Symbol evolution
Photography style – to create unity across the photography and an own-able brand style for the pool, the portraits were changed to black and white. Colour cues from the brand palette were then added to highlight swimming costumes, goggles, towels and inflatable tubes etc.
